Bookscan is a library supplier of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) literature, in English, to public libraries in the United Kingdom.

Subject categories include Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South Asia, the Diaspora of these continents/regions, Multi-cultural and Bi-lingual Picture Books, Race, Gender, Gay and Lesbian, and related Political, Sociological and Cultural themes.

Our aim is to deliver high quality services to public library authorities that enable them to provide equality of access to the literature of their diverse communities.

Lists of newly published titles are updated monthly and posted online. In sourcing these, we aim to connect them to a wider audience and enable library authorities to deliver best practice and best value in the categories selected.

Bookscan has a proven track record of delivering this range of literature to public library authorities and of working in partnership with them to meet the needs of their readers.
